General Information
Cable TV service is provided at no additional cost in all main-campus residences. Outlets are distributed differently in various buildings:
Residents are responsible for providing their own cable-ready TV equipment and the cable from their TV to the outlet. All TV channels are transmitted without encryption. No descrambler is needed. Students who find they are not receiving upper channels should be sure their TV is set for "Cable" instead of "Antenna" and that they follow the manufacturer's instructions for tuning their equipment.
The University's responsibility for TV service extends only as far as the wall outlet. Service calls resulting from problems with residents' equipment will be charged to the student requesting service. Technicians are not permitted to adjust or repair any student's equipment - although they will offer advice if possible.
