Sundeep R. Muppidi is an Associate Professor of Communication at the University of Hartford. He is also a faculty in the Multimedia Web Design and Development (formerly Interactive Information Technology) program on campus. Dr. Muppidi has a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Bowling Green State University, Ohio and serves as a visiting faculty/ external examiner/ adviser to a lot of journalism and communication schools in China, India, Singapore, South Africa, The Czech Republic and the Caribbean.

Dr. Muppidi teaches courses in new media theory and production, international communication and communication research. His research interests are in international communication, new communication technologies and media studies.

Dr. Muppidi is also an active film maker and has a number of years of experience in video and multimedia production. Dr. Muppidi is an international consultant and has consulted for UNESCO and the Asian Media Information and Communication Center in Singapore (AMIC), among others.
